It is painted in Some type of board
24 x 26 x 1.5
Hello, this item is a signed painted panel artwork executed on rigid board and attributable to Mario Montilus, a Haitian painter active from the mid to late 20th century and well known for his richly colored jungle scenes populated with animals. The composition presents a dense tropical landscape with lions, tigers, giraffes, zebras, elephants, birds, and abundant vegetation arranged in a flattened, highly decorative, and narrative format. The stylistic features, including saturated colors, rhythmic repetition of foliage, frontal animal figures, and a dreamlike spatial construction, align closely with documented works by Montilus. The signature reading “Mario” is visible in the lower foreground and corresponds in placement, scale, and execution to authenticated examples of Mario Montilus signatures found on comparable works. The use of painted board rather than canvas is consistent with Montilus’s production, particularly for works created for local and international markets during the 1970s to 1990s.
The painting appears to be in stable overall condition, with no visible structural damage, losses, or active paint instability noted in the provided photographs. Minor surface wear and handling marks along the edges are consistent with age and secondary market circulation. In the current market, signed works by Mario Montilus of this scale and complexity typically achieve higher values than unsigned folk paintings due to clear artist attribution and strong decorative appeal.
Typo - the online appraisal- not blonde appraisal

Hello Denise,
After careful consideration here is an updated version of the appraisal.
Have a nice day
It is signed and attributed. If you enlarge the picture you can see the signature bottom center. Please redo and be more thorough. Please. I am loving the blonde appraisal but this sees to be something you would obviously enlarge and look for and include on the appraisal?
