I have several items already photographed. I can forward them to you.
different sizes from small frogs at 3 cm and less that 5 grams, up to human figure with crown which is about 12 long and weighs 400 grams.
Hello, this item is a diverse grouping of small pre-Columbian-style metal and ceramic objects, most likely modern reproductions or collectibles inspired by the Tairona (or Tayrona) culture of ancient Colombia. The Tairona civilization, known for their intricate goldsmithing and lost-wax casting, flourished in the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta region between the 11th and 16th centuries. The selection here includes cast-metal animal forms, seated figures with elaborate headdresses, and pendants—some showing stylistic traits associated with authentic Tairona metallurgy, such as coiled ornamentation and zoomorphic abstraction. However, the bright brass tone and certain finishing details indicate more recent manufacture.
Without direct metallurgical analysis, authentication of pre-Columbian gold is extremely difficult, and the antiquities market is saturated with replicas made in Colombia and Panama from the mid-20th century onward. That said, such collections still hold aesthetic and ethnographic interest. The set—ranging from small amulets (~3 cm) to a larger seated human figure (~12 cm, 400g)—could be valued in aggregate for decorative or study purposes. If all pieces are modern replicas, the fair market value of the lot would be approximately $250 to $400 USD.
