I inherited this book and don’t know its history. It’s in pretty good condition. The pages are paper and the cover is probably paper or something else like leather.

Hi Nina,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This appears to be a German Luther Bible, printed in the 18th century, and it follows the translation by Martin Luther (1483–1546), the seminal figure in the Protestant Reformation who translated the Bible into German.
The title page reads "BIBLIA, Das ist: Die ganze Heilige Schrift des Alten und Neuen Testaments (Bible, that is: The entire Holy Scripture of the Old and New Testaments.)' Wie solche von Herrn Doctor Martin Luther sel. ... Anno 1534 (As translated by Doctor Martin Luther ... in the year 1534)"
Luther's full translation of the Bible was first completed and published in 1534. This Bible is clearly based on his work. This edition was edited or introduced by Johann Michael Dillherr (1604–1669), a German theologian and pastor in Nuremberg. Though he died in the 17th century, his introductions and annotations were used in editions well into the 18th century. It was published in Nuremberg, Germany. Johann Michael Silberns (variant of Silbern, a Nuremberg-based printer active in the late 17th to mid-18th century).
Based on the typography and print style, the presence of the editor Dillherr (posthumously used) and the active printing years of the Silber family, this was printed between 1720 and 1750.
While this is a fairly old German bible, the condition is quite poor; at auction, despite its age, this would likely sell at auction for between $100 ad $150.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
