great grandmother
This is a vintage, early 20th century, late 1920's to 1930's, Duncan Phyfe inspired rotating drum form side table in mahogany that was produced by the Imperial Furniture Company from Grand Rapids, Michigan. Imperial was active from 1903 - 1954, and was founded by F. Stuart Foote the son of E.H. Foote who owned the Grand Rapids Chair Co. A drum table has a cylindrical top on outward curving legs and rotates from a central post. These are also called capstan tables and loo tables, after a playing card game. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
