Improved Stone Wear - Peach and navy blue with gilded borders and accents
10 8 3/4" bowls 12 10.5" Bowls 9 6.75" plates 7 8.75" 16 10.5" dinner plates China set with gilded borders and highlights - peach coloured flowers, navy blue leaves. Most items stamped with "Improved Stone China" and bear the number "97." All 10 of the smaller bowls do not show the stamp, but have the "97." The rest, with the exception of one large plate, have the stamp. 8 of the large plates lack the 97.
Obtained from mother not sure where she got them.

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a large part dinner service by Charles Meigh with the impressed " Improved Stone China" mark, transfer printed in an Imari style pattern, definite pattern name not stamped on the underside. Stoneware plates by Charles Meigh have been sold at auction. The estimate is based on recent auction results. Someone who desperately needs identical plates as an replacement might be willing to pay more than the high estimate.
