Judging from the dress and the Sabot footwear most likely a rural area in France might be depicted. The composition and motif is well chosen, but the execution is rather on a level of a well trained amateur artist. The varnish has turned yellow in places, this might be difficult to remove. The estimate is based on similar paintings by lesser known artists sold at auction.
