Dear Waheed,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a small-sized manuscript on animal skin with the measurements of 3 x 2 1/4 inches. The manuscript was written in ink and the book has just 17 pages. The letters and the language are not identifiable, coded, or probable an invention. It is not comparable to Afgan alphabet systems like the Pashto alphabet or the typological similar Geʽez alphabet.
The condition of the material and the used ink are a hint that this piece was made in the 20th century. There are small-sized versions of the koran known but this does not fit the used letters and the number of the pages. The illustration of a Mosque comparable in its architecture to Persian mosques indicates localization in the area of the Persian influence sphere.
This piece is in medium condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 20 to 40 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
George
