What does this mean?

Dear Lisa,

Thank you for your additional images and your patience.

The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 4' x 3'. This painting was made after a poster or other image of an advertisement for a medical product by "J Krinzits". This piece was made in the second half of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 200 to 400 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.

With kind regards,
Georg

Hi Georg,
I loaded two more close ups for you. I believe it was painted in 2001 but I cannot find an artist signature.

Dear Lisa,

Thank you for the additional images. I want to be sure that this is not a print. Can you have a look if you see the difference in the surface of this artwork which results from the brush strokes?

Thank you very much!

With kind regards,
Georg

i added 2 more that hopefully show you the texture differences. This is not a print. in fact, you can see a hole in the canvas and other parts that have been purposely damaged/antiqued.

Hi Georg,
how is it possible that i paid $3000 for this painting 16 years ago and kept it in the same condition and it's only appraised for $400? This doesn't make sense?

George Oct 31, 11:01 UTC

Dear Lisa,

I am very sorry for this bad news. This painting was made in the second half of the 20th century after a printed advertisement probably on paper. It is not signed and can not be attributed through stylistic arguments to a name or artist.

Galleries work in a primary market and the pricing is not related to any comparable or something like this. Vair market values are connected to reached prices as we have in auctions that mirror an actual open market situation.

With kind regards,
Georg
