The ring is silver and rectangular shaped. Within the rectangle there are two hypotenuse triangles. One on top and the other on the bottom. Mother of Pearl. Between these are two black triangles. Black Onyx. And between these is a parallelogram. Mother of Pearl also.

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a beautiful sterlingsilver ring. Such vintage designer jewellery are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The design and shape of the ring is very smart and well made. The ring appears to have some scratches and sign of use and wear. In my opinion this adds to the charm however most collectors and dealers prefer items that are in mint condition.
The decoration on top of the ring leads me to believe that it is from the late 1900s when this type of geometrical decoration and mother of pearl/onyx decor was popular. James Avery is a well known jewellery maker of reasonably priced jewellery in many shapes and variations. However the very high auction prices for jewellery are usually when the pieces are made of gold set with a variety of costly stones.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the James Avery ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
