Modified choke demascus steel (I believe) Birmingham proof House stamp late 1855 - 1904 (I can't quite determine)

Dear Andrew,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a double-barrel shotgun made by James Williams & Co. The double-barrel was made out of a twisted Damascus steel and Birmingham proof stamps. This rife was probably made around 1900.
This piece is in medium condition and there are stain corrosion on the metal parts visible.
A fair market estimation would be between 400 to 800 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
