What does this mean?

Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a painting by Jane Corbus Luke. The artist was born in 1881 in Chicago and later moved to Montreal where she attended the Art Association of Montreal. She studied under W.Brymner, G. H. Russell and B. DesClayes. She exhibited once in a while and her paintings were mentioned on rare occasions in local newspapers. Where an when she died has not been recorded, but apparently after 1931. The painting in your possession has a nice impressionst frame which adds to the value. The estimate is based on current auction results.
