A 1969 Maki Haku's (1924-2000) painting entitled "Poem 69-54 (mushin) 172/202". Haku whose artistic name is Maejima Tadaaki was born in Ibaraki Prefecture and was one of the most famous artists during 20th century. His techniques includes the texture achivmenet by working the designs in wet cement and the use of Kanji (Chinese characters) as design motifs.

Woodblock print signed lower right.
