Hello again Philippe,
Thanks again for your appraisals with Mearto. The item presented appears to be a color woodblock by Takeshita Kin-u (Japanese; 1910 - 1960) titled “Spring Flower Cart.” This print is typically accompanied by the previous print as a set. As previously mentioned, the print is a "dai-oban" format print in the size of about 10" x 15". The print was originally published by Uchida Bijutsu Shoshi during the 1950s. The woodblocks published by Uchida were after original painting by Takeshita.
The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of this print and other comparable examples by Takeshita. If your intention is to sell the print and the other, I would encourage you to sell the prints as a set, as the artist intended. Thank you and please take care.
Hi Philippe, I am very sorry to hear about the loss. I would suggest looking into insurance for that shipment.
Thank you very much. I had the three prints in the set.
Very regrettably all were lost in a shipment to my daughter. (National) shipper reported that "broken mirror" had been discarded. The art was in a bomb-proof 24" X 40" box!
