Hello Matt. Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with MeArto. I very much apologize for the delay in your appraisal. The item presented appears to be a collection of woodblocks by Fujiki Kikumaro (藤木喜久麿, Japanese, active circa 1919-1925). The images depict children's dolls (gosho ningyō) in various costumes. The series dates to the 1920s. However, there are reprints and further examination of the prints outside the frame may lead to authentication regarding date and publishing. The estimate provided is applied to the collection and is based on auction estimates and results of the series and similar works of gosho ningyō prints.
Hello Matt. I cannot state the works are authentic without examining them in person. The estimate provided is assuming the prints are authentic and from the 1920s.
Thank you for the response! Just to clarify, are you saying that if they are authentic vs. reprints that they will be work more than $200-$800? If so, how much more? Thanks!
