Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a late Meiji period japanese scroll painting, a Kakemono or Kakejiku 掛軸, depicting a bird, possibly a heron flying over bushes or a pond, signed 景川 Jingkawa with two artist seals. Such scrolls were made in large numbers for export and most artists left no biographical data. The estimate is based on similar paintings of the early 20th century sold or offered at auction.
Thank you
Where would you recommend that I can sell the art?
Please respond either in the positive or negative.
Try a local auction house specializing in asian art or leave it listed on this site for a while.
Most of the art houses near me are into Western art. Therefore I will leave it on this site. Thank you for your response.
As you requested the red seal photo is attached.
