Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be six panel folding screen, showing an mountaineous region in Japan with various buildings, with gold leaf and silk borders, possibly made in the Taisho period, inscribed 文嶺 and also with an identical seal in seal script. There are a few light damages, light bruises, insect bite etc. I couldn´t trace down any information on the artist. The estimate is based on similar items by lesser known artist sold at auction. As always "asking prices" in the trade can be higher and vary.
The insurance appraisal for this item is $1,500.
