What does this mean?

Dear Christopher,

Unclear signed modern Chawan. Good quality pottery. These modern pieces are interesting and sometimes also made for export outside Japan. Not an antique piece. Its very hard to know exactly were some of these bowls were made in recent day's. It is also known that even Chinese one's are around.
