What does this mean?

Hello John

Thank you for your appraisal inquiry with Mearto. The items presented appear to be color woodblock reproductions after 19th century woodblocks by Utagawa Hiroshige (Japanese; 歌川 広重; 1797 - 1858) also known as Andō Hiroshige (安藤 広重). Each woodblock is quite smaller than the original impressions. Additionally, they are lacking in some detail and inscriptions.

Hiroshige is considered to be the greatest Japanese ukiyo-e artist. He produced over 8,00 works and his woodblocks are highly collectible. The estimate provided is applied to the collection of four reproduction woodblocks. However, each woodblock is from a different series and are not considered to be a "collection" or "set." The estimate provided is based on recent auction estimates and results of smaller reproduction woodblocks after Hiroshige, dating to the late 19th to early 20th century. Thank you and please take care.
