I am the artist.. i am inspired by native American and other cultures. I have sold many pieces within my network and would like a third party opinion. I am a retired investment banker so my network consists of high wealth individuals. In other words just because my friends and peers pay a good value for my art it does not reflect in the art world, so I am looking for an honest opinion and real value. Tx

The auction market values works based on recent (public) sales of comparable items and differs from the gallery/retail market that is often non-transparent and private where dealers/galleries can assign a value with some expectation of being negotiated down (and galleries rarely disclose the selling price of a work of art).
In YOUR case, where there are no previous auction records, I would look to contemporary Native American works of art and what those are selling for at auction and value yours conservatively based on those prices because your works are untested. In the case of the eagle painting on bamboo, a fair-market auction value of $400-600 would be an ideal starting point - low enough to generate interest but high enough to demonstrate your skill and adherence to the artistic tradition. If it were offered at auction and brought, let's say $1,200, I would appraise for auction any future work of comparable size at $1,000-1,500. Does that make sense?

Hello Delia, I don't promote my artwork (except for charity).. I am a member of an international bankers consortium and last year displayed my art to my colleagues just to get feedback.. well I ended up selling almost all my work. However these are not savvy art buyers, so for someone to buy a painting for $10k because they had good past dealings with me doesn't reflect really on my work $10k is like buying a cup of coffee amongst bankers (sorry for sounding arrogant just don't know how else to put it)... all I want is to know is if I my art has promise. Im not doing it for the money just want a real opinion from outside my network. I am willing to share my large collection of native American scenes and maybe even invite an art professional to talk to my banker groups about investing in art. I hope I am clear because i know this is not quite the normal request. TX
