Dear Richard,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Sadly regarding technical problems, the images and messages were not displayed. I apologize for the delay of the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a serigraph in colors on paper with the measurements of 34-1/2" x 56-1/2". This print has the title "Stone Forest" and the edition of XLVIII/LXXV. It was hand-signed in pencil by the artist JIANG Tiefeng (1938).
Artworks of this artist were recently offered and sold on the international and national auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 150 to 300 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With kind regards,
Georg

This is why I give a new appraiser I piece I have already researched I know retail is much higher then a actual sale price. I would consider $7500 as a sale price. $150 to $300 for a framed piece that big. The frame it self should be about $800 to $1000 with the matting. I should get a refund for this bogus appraisal.I await your response. I guess that's what you get for $19.
Dear Richard,
Thank you for your email and I am sorry that you expected a higher estimate. Sadly the highest hammer price which was ever recorded is just 1.576 USD.
For estimation, we have to differentiate the different markets of the art market. You as a private person have to use the secondary auction art market which is an open market. Contemporary art pieces are usually sold on the closed first market of the galleries. Galleries usually have very high asking prices which can not be reached again when you have to sell this artwork on the secondary auction market.
With kind regards,
Georg
