This map is in very good condition. It is canvas and measures about 73"x56".
Unfortunately I do not know much about the history of this map. It was purchased through an online auction

This map was made from 1864-1874; it was later reproduced but I can't find a publishing date in any of the photos. I'm assuming it was published then and have valued it as such so if it was published later please let me know as that would lower the value. The first edition map does not come to auction often but is fairly collectible when it does. This has been laid down on canvas; it was not originally issued like that. While it has kept the condition good, it is considered a condition 'flaw' that keeps the value down a bit
