32"h x 50"w tapestry, mounted on 36" x 54" x 1" linen-clad board.
It was protected by a heavy acrylic 5" deep box cover. It cracked and was removed, but is still available.
Dear David,
What you have here is a Burmese Kalaga made mid 20th century. Its well executed and has good details. Many of these are also made for export but they were also used in daily life for curtain and wall decoration.
Price for these tapestry are not that high yet especially if you take in consideration the amount put in to them.
My estimation is a fair market price for this type of work in a salesroom or auction.
