What does this mean?

The appraised work is a pair of lithographs executed by Russian artist Kazimir Malevich (1879-1935) titled 'Portrait of a Woman' and 'Peasant in a Field.' The prints both feature stylized figures with bright fields of color and an overall flatness with no distinct sense of depth and modeling. Malevich was the founder of the Suprematist movement. He was born in the Ukraine and studied at the Moscow School of Painting, Sculpture, and Architecture, where he first began creating the first truly abstract paintings. After exhibiting widely throughout Europe, he was eventually condemned as a bourgeois artist by the Stalinist regime. Malevich transitioned into an earlier style of depicting peasants and landscapes in a traditional Impressionist-like style. The estimate provided is based on comparables recently offered and sold at auction. The appraised works' size, subject and condition, as well as the artist's current auction market were taken into consideration when determining the estimate. In many cases, pricing for similar examples available on the primary (retail) market vary, and are often higher than secondary (auction) market examples.

Please Note: The estimate above is for 'Peasant' in a Field.' The additional print, 'Portrait of a Woman' would probably fetch approximately $150-$350 at auction per the same criteria outlined above.
