The presented object appears to be a Nepalese Kukri knife with the measurements of 18 inches overall length. This Kukri was probably used and made for an officer of the Gurkha units in the British Army and this type of fighting knife is iconic for this Nepalese troops in British service . The handle was made out of a horn with inlay decor and a lion head pommel. The scabbard was made out of horn also and this fighting knife comes with two additional small knives. Dating in the WWII period is not sure because of the excellent condition of the blade. This typical type of knife with the lion head pommel is also produced in the second half of the 20th century and until now.
Works by this artist were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 80 to 120 USD.
