On the back of the painting: “P.P.Rubens and his students 1607. The descent from cross” next to it there is a Wax collection seal bearing which seems to be - the coat of arms of the Druck family (Polish–Lithuanian) to the verso.

Dear David,
Thank you for your help and patience.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil paint on canvas with 19.25 x 14.25 inches measurements. The painting depicts the "Decent from Cross in a variation after the famous painting by Peter Paul Rubens in Antwerp in the Cathedral of Our Lady. Rubens painted several variations of this motif and also prints with this composition were spread throughout Europe. This painting was made after a print as we can see at the back-to-front of the motif. This means this artwork was made after Peter Pail Rubens by a follower and not his workshop. The paintings of the workshop are better in the quality of the depiction and the anatomy of the persons. Especially the face of Christ and the depiction of the fabrics are here an argument. This painting was made in the 18th century. The painting has an official wax seal with the coat of arms of the Druck family which is located in the Polish–Lithuanian area. This means this painting was in the possession of this family.
Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 800 to 1.600 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.

Gregory

Hi Gregory - any update?
Thanks,

Dear David,
I am sorry for the late reply. Sadly I need a bit more time to research this type of motif and how close it is to the Ruben workshop.
With kind regards,
Gregory
Thank you, Gregory. Do you have an estimated time?
