Oil on canvas beautiful framed. It is large, mother had it displayed on easel...added 8 1/2 x 11 sheet of paper to show size.
Another of my mother’s acquisitions. Unknown when.
This is a vintage late 20th to early 21st century original painting on canvas by the Israeli artist, Itzchak Tarkay (1935 - 2012). Tarkay, who was born around the Yugoslav-Hungarian border in Subotica was a World War II concentration camp survivor having been sent to Mauthausen Concentration Camp with his family in 1944. In 1949 his family emigrated to Israel, where by 1956 he graduated from the Avni Institute of Art and Design. His works are influenced by Matisse and he is known for his paintings of elegant images of women. He was a prolific artist and successful with multiples and prints. He has a long and strong past auction history of past auction sales. An actual dimension size will be helpful for value. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
I added two photos with 8 1/2 x 11 paper on inside of frame to show size
