This appears to be a painting by April Rader, described on her own website "On a hill overlooking Irvine I saw an old stand of eucalyptus trees that seemed as if they were set on fire by the brilliant sunset". Only one of her paintings were sold at auction many years ago, which would not be enough to establish a trend on the actual current market value. The execution of the painting is very accomplished, on the highest level of plein air painting. I compared the painting to other paintings by lesser known artists offered at auction. I would see the pre-auction estimate in the range as listed above, with a very good potential to sell higher if offered in a well advertised auction.
