It appears to be a painting of a young boy, possibly a clown

Dear Monica,
Thank you for your request. Please attach an image of the reverse side and some detailed and focused images of the surface of the painting itself. Thanks!!
With best regards,
Georg
Dear Monica,
Thanks for the additional images. I am sorry but the images of the surface are not focused. May I ask you kindly to add more focused and detailed photos. As more information we have as better we can estimate it. Thanks!
With best regards,
Georg
Hi Greg I’ve attached more images.
Dear Monica,
Thank you for your help and the additional images. This painting is a portrait of a young boy with a yellow shirt. It is painted with oil on a pressboard. In the left upper corner, it is signed with "L. Larsson" and dated with "1966". This signature is to identify with the artist Leslie Larsson(1913-1970). This American artist mainly depicts scenes which are related to the circus, like clowns. His paintings are offered to high prizes in galleries, but there is just one painting sold in the auction market. An estimation would be from 200 to 400 USD.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
With best regards,
Georg
Hi Georg
Thanks for the appraisal. But would you clarify your statement on his paintings are offered to high prizes in galleries
Thanks
Monica
The back is nailed making it difficult in viewing the back. I’ve attached pictures of the back. Let me know if I should remove the nails
