Fair condition Cherry Unknown maker
30"high 30"deep 72" long
Hi Tim,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
Unless this has been refinished recently, it looks comparatively modern to me - 20th Century rather than late 19 Century or earlier.
The carving is quite nice and it's size works in its favor; at auction, this would have a fair-market value of $1,000-1,500.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
A vintage Renaissance Revival style carved cherrywood refectory table or library desk,
Unattributed maker, mid 20th Century or later
Surmounted by a retangular top with wave-carved and molded edge above turned pendant drops, raised on two relief-carved double columns on carved and molded trestle bases, joined with a carved H-stretcher.
Height: 30 inches; Length: 72 inches; Depth: 30 inches
CONDITION: This table appears to be in good condition.
PROVENANCE: Inherited
$ 1000-1500*
*represents a fair-market value for auction purposes; retail or asking price may vary.
