It is a nice toy locomotive. Such vintage toys trains are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
It is a nice well kept vintage Lionel New Haven locomotive and appears to be in very good condition. I don't know if you have the original box but this would increase the sales value of your train. As it may have been custom made the appraisal is slightly difficult however it may surprise in a positive way if sold at auction.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online vintage toys auction, where I believe the Lionel train has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the Lionel New Haven locomotive. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

Your item will be presented for several auction houses, but they tend only to be interested in items worth more than $1000. I would recommend eBay for these kinds of items because of the extended amount of buyers on the platform.
