On paper, they have yellowed, my dad got these from a client who bought the at Fredrick & Nelson in Seattle WA. Probably in the 60’s.
Hello Alicia,
Thank you very much for submitting your item for an online appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a lithograph depicting a woman reclining on a lion's head carpet. The dimensions were not provided and it looks to be in fair condition with some evidence of yellowing visible in the images provided. It is signed "Louis Icart" in pencil on the right and an inscription on the left indicates that it is an artist's proof.
A work from this series was sold at Eldred's in 2018 for a hammer price of $325 following a pre-sale estimate of $300 to 400: https://www.eldreds.com/auction-lot/louis-icart-french-new-york-1888-1950-a-woman_28F48F5A39
This impression does appear to be in better condition, but it is not an artist's proof, which are typically worth 25-50% more than a later edition. Therefore, I would estimate the current fair market value of your work at $400 to 500, though retail and asking prices may vary.
If you have any questions about my valuation, please let me know in the comments section below. Thank you again and I hope that you have a wonderful day!
Kind regards,
Anne
