A sermon entitled" Lucretia Mott Washington City, 1843." It was in an envelope on which my ancestor had written "Sermon given by Lucretia Mott, Salem, Ohio 1843." Salem,Ohio was an important nexus on the Underground Railroad and my ancestors were Quakers. The front is scrunched. It is about 5"3" and made of paper.
It was given to me by my grandmother who got it from her cousin, Lavinia Coppock Gilfillian. There were two Coppock brothers who were with John Brown at Harper's Ferry.
Dear Martha,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. So that I may best assist you, can you please upload a few better images of the frontispiece.
With kind regards,
Georg
Dear Martha,
Thank you for the new images. Sadly this book is in a very bad condition. The pages inside have heavy foxing. This book has the title "Sermon" and was written by Lucretia Mott. It was printed in the year 1848 but sadly the condition makes it worthless for the art market or collectors.
With kind regards,
Georg
