I've not found "M. Bissonnett" among any of the artist databases we have use in our valuations, nor have I found any information on them in a Google search, which suggests to me that they were amateur artists OR who had such a small body of work that none has come to market.
In the event that we are unable to use prior sales of works by the artist to form our opinion of value, we look to similarly sized works of comparable subject, date and media.

signed and dated "M. Bissonnett 1898" lower right
sight size 13 1/2 by 23 1/2 inches; in a giltwood frame 21 by 31 inches
CONDITION: appears to be in generally good condition; value assumes no in-painting, varnishing, relining or restretching.
PROVENANCE: inherited
