Thank you for your appraisal submission. From the images provided, the work appears to be an oil painting on canvas. It is in fair condition with cracking throughout, measuring 60 x 45 cm. The composition is a rendition of Marc Chagall's "Easter" painted in 1968 and most likely a forgery.

Copy paintings of masterworks are not unusual, and there are multiple copy paintings of "Easter," and others by Chagall, on the market, however the inclusion of a "Marc Chagall" signature makes this specific work problematic. It is possible that Chagall painted multiple iterations of an image, yet we find that to be unlikely in the case of this specific work. Its discovery at a flea market without further known provenance also makes this work suspect. For this reason, we will not offer a value estimate.
