What does this mean?

Good evening, Heather,

Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This piece has great presence.
Based on the lack of auction records for Mark/Marcus White but considering this work within the context of similar works by other artists, this is:

Marcus "Mark" White (American, 20th Century)
Untitled abstract marble sculpture (Vagina)
probably circa 1965-75
13 inches high, 15 inches wide
Provenance: acquired from the artist
$800-1,200

Please let us know if you have additional items to appraise, and thank you for using Mearto.

Give me a minute I’m having somebody look for me I’m disabled and it’s heavy I can’t move it around

No hurry!

My stepfather Marcus White always had a burlap MW on his collages but no there is nothing on his sculptures. There’s nothing on the vagina. Like I was telling somebody else I wish she was as famous as his son Roy White who played for the New York Yankees :-) but he was a great artist and a great man. My answer is. My long winded answer… No there is no signature

I never saw your answer I just now received it. Thank you

I guess my other question would be would you know anybody in the Southbay area here in Los Angeles that would be interested in purchasing this sculpture? It certainly would be too expensive to mail. And I would be very nervous that it would be marred in someway. I am very happy by your appraisal. It made me cry for my stepfather. He was a wonderful man and put his all into his work.

My sympathies for your loss!
Most auction houses in the Southbay area of Los Angeles (or even greater Los Angeles) would most likely take this on consignment to sell on your behalf rather than purchase outright, though you could certainly ask if that is an option. For the best results, you would want to go with an auction house that has an online presence so that this would have exposure to potential buyers worldwide.
I hope this is helpful - please let me know if we can be of assistance in any other way.
