Marques Colston signed Nfl football from the 2010 NFC Championship game
Previous owner was Matthew Wicker of New Orleans. Ball and ticket from the game were in a bag together in a storage unit I acquired from Wicker last week. I'd like a COA
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry. Based on the photographs and description provided, the subject of this appraisal is a non-authenticated NFL football autographed by former New Orleans Saints wide receiver Marques Colston, accompanied by a used NFL playoff ticket for the NFC Championship Game played January 24, 2010 between the New Orleans Saints and the Minnesota Vikings. The Saints won the game and subsequently their first and only Super Bowl.
According to the current owner, the piece was acquired from the purchase of a storage locker. The football itself is unfortunately impossible to definitively authenticate with the provenance provided as being a game used ball from the championship game itself. If determined by a reputable third party authenticator such as PSA to be from the game itself, an estimated value of the football and ticket together would be approximately $500 to $1,000. As is (unauthenticated/unverified to be game-used), the value is approximately $50 to $100 for the football alone presuming the autograph to be genuine (as it matches known examples of Colston's autograph). The stub value is approximately $25.
Mearto provides appraisals, but not certificates of authenticity on items, so unfortunately the initial request for a COA accompanying this appraisal is not within the scope of services we provide.
