What does this mean?

Dear Sidney,

Thank you for your request. The presented object is a lamp after the design of Max LE VERRIER (1891-1973). It shows a nude woman in dancing poses holding a glass globe. The lamp is made out of metal and patinated green. There are many later recasts and copies of these beautiful pieces of Verrier. Mostly they are made in a white metal alloy which touches warmer then bronze. Also, it sounds different to bronze when you hit it. The electric parts the cable seems to be a later addition. This lamp was probably made in the 1930s.
This piece is in good condition and there are no serious damages visible.
An estimation would be between 1000 to 2000 EUR.
This estimation is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.

With best regards,
Georg
