This is a vintage, early 20th century color lithograph print based on an image that was created by Maxfield Parrish for the advertising campaigns of Edison Light Works for General Electric. This is not an original painting. A painting is one-of-a-kind, this is a lithograph print copy of a painting which was published in multiples, It was very popular, therefore thousands were reproduced in various sizes. This image, from 1927 is entitled Golden Hours or Only God Can Make a Tree. These were usually the top illustrated portion of wall calendars which were premium give-aways. The estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparables. Retail 'asking prices' can be higher and vary.
The painting measures
the picture itself is 13 1/2 x24 1/4. I measured it to the best of my ability since is in original frame i hope this helps. It is a beautiful painting.
