Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a Commemorative copper medal issued during the Calcutta Exhibition in 1883 -1884, showing the crowned bust of Empress Victoria facing to the left, on the reverse Britannia stands next to the seated figure of India, greeting figures from the Empire, inscribed The Calcutta Exhibition, 1883-1884, designed by J. S. & A. B. Wyon, 76.5mm in diameter. The condition is acceptable but far from excellent. Six years ago an identical medal sold for approx. 200 USD at auction in London. The estimate is based on this an other auction results of actually sold medals. There is no measurement for the sentimental value it represents to you. Keep it as a family heirloom.
