I actually had a jeweler give me some information about this ring but I’d like some solid info. I was told that it is a VS2F diamond with a small flaw or crack in shank. 3/4 carat, 14k gold 6.6 grams. There are 4 small diamonds I was told they are S-I clarity, G-H color and they equal 1/10 of a carat total.
This was a ring that my grandfather war for many years.
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
It is a nice gold ring with diamonds. Such vintage rings are being offered at auction on a regular basis.
The ring was made in the middle of the 1900s. It is made of 14 kt gold and has a large diamond that is 0,75 ct and 4 smaller diamonds with a total carat weight of 0,1 ct. The design of the ring is masculine and typical of this era. The ring does have some signs of wear and use which affects the price.
The estimate provided is for a well-advertised specialised online jewellery auction, where I believe the ring has the best chance of realising its fullest potential. However, there is no measurement for the sentimental value you might attach to the fashionable ring. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and vary.
Please let me know if you have any additional questions. I’m happy to help.
Thank you
