Oil on canvas by Trubus Sudarsono Indonesia (1926-1966),created in 1959. Its about an active volcano in central Java surrounded by greenery. Size is 50cmx70cm. Painting is wth original frame and in satisfactory condition. Trubus works focus mainly on figures but occasionally painted scenery.The work is in kuala lumpur.
The work is acquired from a dealer artist Herru Prayogo in Bandung, a grandson of Hendra Gunawan also a wellknown artist, in mid 2016.

This appears to be second half 20th century painting, depicting an indonesian landscape.The signature lower right resembles the signature of TRUBUS SOEDARSONO (Indonesian, 1926-1966). He lived during a revolutionary period of Indonesian history, and his restless mind is usually visible in his brushstrokes. This painting is not very typical for the artist, he is best known for the depiction of dancers. Assuming this is an authentic work ( of which I am not sure) the estimate is as listed above. It takes into account that this is not a motif the artist is known for.
