Hi Dana,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The Walt Disney Classics Collection (WDCC) is one of the most beloved and collectible lines of Disney sculptures. Created through a partnership between Disney and Enesco, the line was introduced in 1992 and production continued until 2012. It was the first line of Disney figurines made with direct involvement from Disney animators, giving the pieces unusual accuracy and charm.
According to collector platforms, Bruce Lau also designed the WDCC "Mickey's Birthday Party 'Happy Birthday!'" It was retired in 2002 and originally retailed comparatively modestly, for $95. What is perhaps interesting to note is the use of wire wicks for the candles and some shading to Mickey's ears, all to make this sculpture appear more realistic; it does not, however, increase the value.
Even with a certificate of authenticity and the original box and factory packaging, this has not increased in value. While some EBay sellers may price this higher, when sold at auction, this rarely brings more than $60-90 and sometimes much less.
Based on the photos and information provided, and subject to examination, this is:
