Hi Helen,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This is a late-19th to early-20th-century slag glass table lamp, often grouped under the umbrella of Victorian or early Arts & Crafts–era decorative lighting. The shade is made of slag (opaque, marbled glass) glass set into a heavy cast frame with high relief scrolling foliate and floral motifs. It uses a panel construction, which was popular circa 1895-1915.
Miller was one maker of such lamps; Salem Bros, Royal Art Glass Co and Bradley & Hubbard were some other makers as well.
When these lamps come to auction, these days they are bringing prices ranging from $200-700 depending on size, complexity of the shade and condition. Yours would likely sell in the $400-600 range.
