Thank you for submitting your item for appraisal. This appears to be a painting by Anton Gutknecht (1907-1988) who is known for his alpine, bavarian and coastal landscapes. Gutknecht was born in Düsseldorf, where he studied, later also in Hamburg and Munich. He worked at the academy in Vienna for many years and eventually moved to Palm Springs. His paintings are often capriccios of decorative landscapes.
