The painting is set in a heavy wood framework. I was told this was done for the purpose to have on ships . Where it would be able to stretch and shrink due to the elements of being on board. This piece weighs 70 lbs. The painting is in good condition. I am located in Tempe, Arizona.

Dear John,
Thank you for your help and patience. My sincere apologies for the delay with the appraisal.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil paint on canvas with
inches measurements. The painting depicts a park scene with women in dresses. Because of the style, this painting can be attributed to the French artist Adolphe MONTICELLI
(1824-1886). Also, this park motif was often used by this artist and titled "Dance" or "Nymphs with Diana".
Comparable objects were recently offered and sold on the international auction market.
This piece is in good condition and no severe damage is visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 1.500 to 3.000 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Gregory
I see no signature unless it's under the framing. And I really don't wish to deal with attempting to take apart considering the way the frame was/is made. Thank You
I've been trying to find a picture of my painting. And have been unable to pull up anything. I looked up the Titles that I was told it could be but, still no picture that assures the name of this piece. May I ask where these titles came from. I was told that some art is never identified and if this is the case wouldn't the value perhaps go up. Thank You
Dear John,
thank you for your message. Sadly this would include long-term research in libraries and museums.
I recommend looking for an specialized art expert for Monticelli.
With kind regards,
Gregory
