Appears to be Mother of Pearl silhouette in old frame wall hanging. Heavy piece
Been in family over 60 years. Unknown origin. Grandparents from Russia and Poland
Hi Todd,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
This looks like marble or alabaster to me, rather than mother-of-pearl. Often these are signed on the back - is it possible to remove the backing to see if there is a name on the back?
Thanks!
Delia
