3x5 ? Trifold poster.
Unknown
Dear Diane,
Thank you for your patience and your help. Sadly I needed all possible details to be sure that this is not an original which is very high priced.
The presented object appears to be an offset print on paper with measurements of 5 x 3 feet. This is sadly a reprint after an advertisement poster for the famous "Moulin Rouge" after the design by one of the most famous artists of France Henri DE TOULOUSE-LAUTREC (1864-1901). The original poster was printed in a lithograph technique. On the new detail images, it is sadly a resolution visible which is a type hint for an offset print technique that dated this piece into the second half of the 20th century.
This piece is in good condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 30 to 60 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
The back appears to be attached to styrofoam. Appears it won’t tear off. What should I do?
Dear Diane,
Thank you very much for your help and patience. This poster was reprinted many times and the original poster has a price potential. I am very sorry for asking for so much information steps by step but we need much information because this is an estimation process based on images.
Please don't remove anything because the danger that there will be something damaged is too high. I think if you send in some more focused details of the edges of the original poster and some high-resolution close-up images of some details on the poster itself to judge the technique. Thank you very much for your help and patience.
With kind regards,
Georg
Thanks so much. I will be patient and appreciate your kind help
Dear Diane,
I hope you are well and I am very sorry for the delay with the appraisal. Is it possible to send an image of the reverse side of this poster? Thank you very much.
With kind regards,
Georg
