Dear Barry,
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry.
The presented object appears to be a painting made in oil or acrylic paint on canvas with the measurements of 45 cm x 55 cm. The painting depicts a typical Japanese landscape with Mount Fuji in the background. On the canvas are hardly readable letters written which appear to be from the Latin alphabet. This is a hint that this piece was made either in Europe or in Asia for export to the Western countries. This piece was made in the second half of the 20th century by an unidentified artist.
This piece is in medium condition and there is no serious damage visible in the images provided.
A fair market estimation would be between 70 to 140 USD.
This estimate is based on actual recent past recorded auction sales of comparable items. Retail "asking prices" can be higher and may vary.
With kind regards,
Georg
