This is a fairly contemporary hand blown art glass vase from the island of Murano off the coast of Venice, Italy. Murano has a long history of producing hand blow glass ware and decorative objects. There have been hundreds of makers throughout the centuries. Glass wares from Murano are considered collectible. This vase is called the Calabria and uses a sommerso glass technique.
