Firing system seems to work, there is a pin hole where the flint would spark so it makes me think it might authentic. It was my grand fathers.
Grand Father so he probably acquired it sometime in the 40’s
Thank you for contacting Mearto with your appraisal inquiry, and I apologize for the delay. So that I can best assist you, would you please send some close up pictures of the flash hole, and down the bore of the pistol? Thank you!

Hello, and I apologize for the delay. This pistol appears to be real and not a replica. Based on its styling, it is likely from Eastern Europe or the Ottoman Empire in the late 18th century. The pistol is in distressed condition, with significant degradation of the metal parts, and corrosion throughout. The stock appears to be fully intact, although it has darkened with age. The wire inlay through the handle is in good shape, although lightly corroded as well. Based on the condition of this piece, and completed auctions of similar items, a fair market estimate is 250-275 dollars. Please reach out with any questions.
